The picture below is of a Roman building permit that is 2,000 years old. This ‘remodeling’ permit authorizes Marcus Holconius Rufus to build a wall along the West Side portico of the Temple of Apollo in Pompeii.

Below is t he famous 1998 PMA Office Christmas Card. This label came attached to a bottle of custom HOT (very) Sauce. The label includes a 'modified' quote from Vitruvius;"Well Building hath four conditions; commodite, firmness, delight, and good hot sauce" From the Ten Books of Architecture written between 46-30 B.C. This card was very popular with serious hot sauce lovers.
